9. Alexisonfire - Old Crows/Young Cardinals

I was sceptical if Alexisonfire would be able to return with a great record.  Thankfully Old Crows/Young Cardinals is a return to the heavier style of Watch Out!.

10. Street Sweeper Social Club - Street Sweeper Social Club

Tom Morello’s new group with Boots Riley from The Coup shows how diverse the guitarist can be.  Lyrically, this album feels closer to Rage Against The Machine than Audioslave.

Best Song: “The Squeeze”

And so begins the list of my Top Albums of 2009! Last year I counted down my top 25 list, but because of a new feature I’ll be adding to my site next year I (more on that in 2010), I opted to only do 10.
